Dear Faith Center:

God’s presence and power impacting our lives is a collision – A collision of love and fear.  A collision of wisdom and foolishness.  A collision of His values and the world’s values.  A collision of holiness and sinfulness.  A collision of His way of living together and our way of living together.


“Collide,” our latest teaching series, will begin the weekend of July 24th & 25th  and will be based on the book of 1 Corinthians.  Corinth was the “sin city” of the Roman Empire, and when the people there came to faith in Jesus Christ, it was a BIG collision.  The apostle Paul was forced to send them an urgent letter in order to address some of their challenges as their behaviors and values shifted to align with God’s best for them.
In this letter we will discover some vital truths that will help us live out our faith in a culture whose values are radically different from those of our Lord.  “Collide” is a study which will help us gain a world view centered around the Lordship and influence of Jesus Christ. 
The promise to the Corinthians is true of us: “He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.  God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.”  1 Corinthians 1:8-9.
