The purpose of Faith Center’s Celebrate Recovery is to spend time together and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through the 8 Recovery Principles based on Jesus' teachings in The Beatitudes and the Christ-centered 12 Steps.

This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experience, strength and hope with one another.  In addition, we become willing to accept God's grace in solving our life problems. By working the steps and applying their Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually.  We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the principles, we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power -- Jesus Christ.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”  2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)

Celebrate Recovery every Monday night in the Dome at Faith Center!  Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives as we work through the 8 principles based on the Beatitudes and the Christ-Centered 12 Steps.  Childcare and youth activities are provided.  6:00 p.m., BBQ Dinner ($3 per adult and $2 per child), 7:00 p.m., Large Group (live music, recovery chips, and teaching or testimony), 8:00 p.m., Open Share Groups, 9:00 p.m.: Coffee and fellowship. Newcomers are always welcome.   Call Pastor Susan at 442-1784 x 211 for more information.

NEW TO CELEBRATE RECOVERY?

If this is your first time to check out Faith Center’s Celebrate Recovery, we are so glad you did! We understand what it is like to admit that you are struggling and to walk into a Celebrate Recovery for the first time. We want you to know that it is okay to not be “okay.” We invite you to join us at 6 p.m. for dinner and fellowship in the kitchen…or come at 7 p.m. and allow God to meet you where you’re at in life during the large group meeting as we worship and listen to a Celebrate Recovery teaching or testimony. Then in the second hour, beginning at 8 p.m. we have men’s and women’s open share groups and a newcomer’s group designed specifically for you--to help you get more familiar with what Celebrate Recovery is all about.  Thank you for checking us out online…and we look forward to meeting you Monday night in the U-Turn domes.

What is Celebrate Recovery?

You may be thinking that recovery is just for people with alcohol or drug problems. The truth is that many of us have created unhealthy methods for handling life. Regardless of your struggle, whether it’s emotional, relational, financial, spiritual or sexual, Celebrate Recovery teaches people to make the healing choices that will help them become the people God created them to be.

At Celebrate Recovery, you'll find a safe place to connect with people you can relate to, no matter your "condition" in life.  You'll find hope and encouragement, love and support.  And, most importantly, you'll find a path to freedom and happiness by developing a personal relationship with Jesus.

By working through the 8 Recovery Principles found in the Beatitudes with Jesus Christ as your Higher Power, you can and will change!!  You will begin to experience the true peace and serenity you have been seeking, and you will no longer have to rely on your dysfunctional, compulsive or addictive behaviors as a temporary "fix" for your pain.

By applying the Biblical principles of conviction, conversion, surrender, confession, restitution, prayer, quiet time, witnessing and helping one another, which are found within the 8 Principles and the Christ-centered 12 Steps, you will restore and develop stronger relationships with others and with God.
